On a Golf Community Close to Beaches and Downtown Naples

Coral Falls and Lely Resort

Coral Falls is a community located in the south east corner of the Lely resort. It has 64 condominiums located in three buildings (2 are 3 storeys high and the remaining one has four). These were completed between 2003 and 2005. Each building has its own elevator and all walls are made of concrete (meaning you will not be disturbed by neighbors). The resort has its own pool (heated in winter months) and spa with facilities and an undercover sitting/eating area. In addition there is a large grassed picnic area with Chickee/Tikki huts and BBQ's that guests are free to use. The rear is surrounded by a lush natural woodland area giving it a tranquil feel.

Lely Resort consists of a number of communities built around three golf courses (the communities being made up of either single family homes, condo's or townhouses). With walkways / bicycle paths all around the resort guests can explore at their leisure. Conveniently located in east Naples , Lely is a mere 10 - 15 minute drive to Marco Island, downtown Naples and the Everglades - giving you easy access to the best that the area can offer. The golf clubhouse has a restaurant which all guests (golfers and non golfers) are welcome to use. The Players Club and Spa is members only, but guests can book spa treatments at an additional $10 a day service fee (plus cost of treatment).

Golf in Lely Resort - The resort is centered around 3 fantastic golf courses. The Classics (designed by Gary Player) is private, the other two championship courses - The Flamingo Island and The Mustang are open to the public all year round. The Flamingo course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, The Mustang by Lee Trevino with both courses ranking amongst the best in the area. Rates vary depending on season but in the summer months can be as low as $35 a round including golf cart. There is a set of golf clubs in our condo for guest use and others can be hired at Lely and elsewhere.

There are many courses close by (just type zip code 34113 into google maps and zoom in), while many are private or semi-private and not available to the public in high season, they can be accessed from May through October and at substantial discounts (details will be provided on request when booking is confirmed). Even in season, there are a number of public and resort courses available including Arrowhead, Hibiscus, Valencia, Golden Gate CC, Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club and The Rookery at Marco. Some courses are also available until their communities and memberships are completed, including Eagle Lakes and The Golf Club at Del Webb. There is even a floodlit executive course, The Links of Naples, available year round. All of these are within 15 minutes (except Valencia 20 minutes and Del Webb 40 minutes). Go a little further north up the I75 and there are even more in Bonita and Ft Myers but honestly you have two of the best right on your doorstep with a great clubhouse too. There's no need to go far to have challenging (Flamingo) or rewarding (Mustang) golf and an enjoyable lunch or dinner.

Quote from About.com: Golf Travel:-

"Lely Resort, Naples: they say that “no community in Southwest Florida can match Lely Resort's 54 holes of championship golf.” Quite a claim, I think, but somewhat justified as the Lely Resort’s courses were designed by some of the best in the game, including Robert Trent Jones Sr., the world's most prolific golf architect, who designed the Flamingo Island Golf Course. Golf Week has twice designated the course as one of "America's Best," while Golf Digest gives it four stars.

The Mustang Golf Club Course reflects the character of its creator, PGA Senior Tour star Lee Trevino/Wm. Graves, a serious but fun par-72 course where a bad shot does not necessarily mean a bad score."

Please note: Bundled Golf is not included in the rental rates and is not available - guests pay separately for all games played.
